Men’s Ministry
Welcome to the Men's Ministry
The focus of this Ministry is to deal with real issues as real me to realise our potential in the following areas:-
- Our personal lives
- Home
- Church
- Community
- Where we work
The Men's ministry is a call to men to take responsibility for their own lives, their relationships, marriages, ministries, the church and the community. The aim is to be christlike and to follow Gods divine word for our lives. 1 john 1 verse 7 says "But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son cleanses us from all sin".
Our Vision for Men’s Ministry
Personal Lives
The intention is for us as men to ask ourselves those tough questions about areas of our lives that we have shied away from for too long. To pray about those areas and where men feel able to discuss, to seek advice and support from fellow men within the ministry or appropriate counselling or mediation services. We will encourage you through God's word for in our weakness, God's grace is sufficient and his strength is made perfect. 2 Cor 12 v 9.
We believe that it is important to:
- Encourage our own self-worth as well as others.
- Find our potential and develop it
- Define ourselves as God would have us to be
- Be credible, positive and strong male role models
- Spend time personal study of God's word
- Spend time in personal worship
In the Home
As Christ is the head of the church, so is the man head of the home. As part of the ministry it is important that men whether husbands, father, sons or brothers take up their responsibilities within the home in the natural as well as the spiritual.
Marriage - Ephesians 5 verse 21-33
Children - Ephesians 6 verse 1-9
Love- 1 Cor 13 v 1-13
Whether it is family, relationship, marriage or any other issue relating to the home, the men's ministry will be available for support and advise along side appropriate counselling and mediation services.
The Community / Work
Being real men with real issues in our personal, home and church lives will affect our communities where we live and work. We believe that its is important for men to get involved in local initiatives, business and youth groups and offer practical and spiritual support where appropriate
Men In the Church
We believe that men should be involved in Church Ministry, as part of the men's ministry men will be challenged to seek God to identify their ministries, whether practical or spiritual. We support our pastors and our other ministries with priority given to the Youth Ministries in order to encourage the growth of young men in the Church.
